1 Samuel 23:26-27

26Saul went on one side of the mountain, and David and his men on the other side of the mountain. And David was hurrying to get away from Saul. As Saul and his men were closing in on David and his men to capture them, 27a messenger came to Saul, saying, “Hurry and come, for the Philistines have made a raid against the land.”

1 Samuel 24:14-15

14After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? aAfter a dead dog! bAfter a flea! 15 cMay the Lord therefore be judge and give sentence between me and you, and see to it and dplead my cause and deliver me from your hand.”

1 Samuel 25:29

29If men rise up to pursue you and to seek your life, the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living in the care of the Lord your God. And the lives of your enemies ehe shall sling out as from the hollow of a sling.

2 Samuel 17:21-22

21After they had gone, the men came up out of the well, and went and told King David. They said to David, hArise, and go quickly over the water, for thus and so has Ahithophel counseled against you.” 22Then David arose, and all the people who were with him, and they crossed the Jordan. By daybreak not one was left who had not crossed the Jordan.
